Oh, and Merry Christmas! I’m happy to have spent a second Christmas with you, and I can’t wait to spend many more together.
We hit a year and half on Christmas Eve, and as we both like to say, it doesn’t feel like it. It has been drudgery, and I thought we were hitting ten and a half years? Ol’ ball and chain and stuff.
If you asked me last year in May if I’d be not only dating a beautiful woman but living with her (and enjoying it!) I would probably laughed or at least chuckled a little bit. That was a bit of a rough time for me, but you didn’t mind. My luscious locks, combined with my Crocs, still managed to pull you in. And I am oh so grateful. Grateful for Carter too, for guilting me into driving to the Boat that night.
Because otherwise, I might not have met my long-time follower who I was unaware of. A follower who had seen me with long hair, and my ghastly bowl cut. She might have even witnessed me without my mustache. GASP! But she still thought I was cute, and she thankfully continues to think so.
I would like now to present some photos. You have already seen all these, but I wanted to share them again.
There was that time we rescued a shovel together. When you tried out the angle grinder, even though it freaked you out. Rightfully so, I have been using them for years and they still give me the heebie jeebies.
Then there was that time in Ikea, where you stuck a suction cup to your head and still managed to look gorgeous? You’re really something.
And do you remember that fateful night at the Haslehurst cottage? I won’t say why it was fateful, but I do remember we had that very tasty Japanese pudding concoction.
I can't wait to make more memories with you. More memories watching movies together where you don't cry because you never do and never would. Or like the recent memory when we ate our Subway at the edge of a lake, so cold we were shivering. But you took solace in the fact that you had a massive cookie to eat.
Or that time when we watched the original Sharknado togeth-Oh wait, never mind.
Or that time when you burst into the bedroom and exclaimed, "It happened!" You had came first place in Pop Culture Jeopardy. I am proud of you for that one, it's impressive.
It has only been a year and a half, but we have both been through quite a bit of growth in that time. I want to thank you for sticking with me through it all. I wouldn't want anyone else by my side.
Now, for the other gifts. This website is definitely where I put most of my effort, but I also got you some smaller gifts. Here are some hints.
1) This hearty root vegetable requires washing, peeling, slicing, frying, and seasoning to give it that perfect "finger (and chip)-lickin' good" flavour.
2) Girl, you are INDIglowing! You look so happy with those books. Are those new? Did you steal them? Stop talking to me already and GO read them!
Thanks again for putting up with all my non-sense. I love you a whole lot, and I appreciate you too. You're a wonderful partner, and I can't wait for many more Christmases with you.
Hugs and kisses,
Tug <3
